Terms of service.

Please note that by hiring space at the Red Umbrella Guesthouse you agree to the following conditions:

You must be 18 Years or older and a legal citizen or resident of NZ to book a room at the property. While we are not a brothel or escort agency we abide by the laws governing such establishments regarding age and citizenship. By booking a room you acknowledge that you meet the above requirements. The Red Umbrella Guesthouse is a home occcupied business and we are limited by the Christchurch City Council guidelines regarding operating hours and vehicle movements on and around the property.

Payment - must be made at the end of a shift or appointment depending on your arrangement. Payment advice will be provided upon booking confirmation

You will respect the property and it’s tenants and the neighbouring people and properties by:

  • Not using or possessing any illicit substances or engaging in work while intoxicated while at the premises. Alcohol use is acceptable provided its use abides by all other conditions.

  • Not smoking or vaping while inside the house. There is plenty of covered space outside, all rubbish related to smoking must be disposed of prior to leaving. In the event that a request for smoking related fetish work is made arrangements must be made with management prior to accepting the booking at the premise

  • Not having guests beyond those who are there for business purposes or providing the address to people who do not have a confirmed appointment with you.

  • Not playing loud music or making any noise that will cause undue disturbance to others, either working in the space themselves or neighbouring the properties.

  • Not leaving the house is any kind of disarray, cleaning up after yourself and your clients and washing any laundry or dishes that were used during your stay.

  • Limiting vehicle movements on and around the property, request that your clients park down the road and walk in to maintain discretion.

  • Notifying management of any damage intentional or accidental to the house, property or furnishings therein.

Damages - You will be held liable for any damage of property during your stay. While bonds are not charged, any person or persons not respecting the terms of service will not be allowed to use the property again.

Check-in - is from 9am for day shift or 3pm for evening shift or 15mins prior to a casual appointment unless arrangements have been made with management. There is a lockbox on site with keys. The code will be provided prior to arrival. This code must not be shared under any circumstances.

Check-out - Unless otherwise agreed prior to arrival, all overnight rentals must be checked out by 9am the following day. Rentals being charged by the hour are allowed 15mins afterwards for clean down etc.

Heaters - are provided in all working rooms and are to be turned off once you are finished with the room. There is a heater in the front entrance on a timer. Please to do not adjust during your stay. The heat-pump in the lounge is connected to central heating which adequately heats the whole house provided no windows or doors are left open. This is on a timer and no adjustments are necessary. Do not use the fireplace.

Laundry - There is washing powder and stain remover provided in the laundry, please use the Standard wash settings for the washing machine as shorter washes leave the sheets and towels greasy and unpleasant to use. The dryer is a condenser dryer, there is a tank above the door to the left where the water is stored, this must be emptied between loads to prevent flooding and keep the dryer working effectively. If the screen shows a FULL message, the tank needs to be emptied. Please ensure all washing is dried properly before folding and returning to the cupboard in the hall.

Security - There are cameras on site for your security. Please follow whatever steps you feel necessary to keep yourself and anyone you are sharing the space with safe, including locking all doors between use and keeping widows without security fittings closed. If you feel unsafe for any reason, contact management or speak to the person onsite and inform them of your situation. Someone will come to the house immediately to help.
